DANCE IN THE CHURCH vs. DANCE IN THE STREETS (where are we???)

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but, after their own lusts, shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Today, you can't tell the difference between what's being ministered in the church and that which is performed in the streets. False doctrines and competitive jealousies have filtered through ministries so rapidly that many have gone astray. Due to lack of serious intimacy with God, training, and time spent discovering the mysteries of God, dance in the church has become watered-down to last minute ideas and assignments, no need for research, let's do that step so and so did in that video. This course will expose the "demon of laziness" and revive the "spirit of true worship." How much commitment and dedication does it take to discover unique creative ways to praise God in the Dance? Is dance an acceptable form of worship in the local church? Many of God's anointed vessels have chosen to use their gifts in the secular realm. While there is nothing wrong with this, part of the reason may be that the church has nothing to encourage keeping them in their rightful place within ministry.

"God has so much more and it's beyond dance in the streets"

{THIS COURSE SHOULD BE A 2-PART SERIES}

DANCING DISCIPLES (dance for souls.)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;" Matthew 28:19-20a

Course Level - Intermediate and Advanced Dancers

We have been commissioned to "Go.." However, the dance minister has been in "Wait" mode. This course is designed to equip dance ministers with the needed tools to "Go" and make disciples for Christ. Can souls be drawn to Christ via the worship and creative arts, particularly dance? How skilled must one be to make disciples? God use the arts in strategic ways these days to capture the attention of those in need of the Savior. Dancers will be challenged to discover if the methods used within the arts are effective enough to bring lasting impact to the nations.

"Experience... Grow... Go"

IN HIS PRESENCE (seeking the purity in your dance before God)

"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is the fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore." Psalms 16:11

Course Level - Beginner-Advance Dancers

Since the beginning of time, God has desired to dwell with His people. Because of sin and rebellion His people have turned their backs on God. For the believer who longs to dwell with God, how do we evaluate our place in Him? When it comes to ministry and service for God do you ever find yourself going through the motions and lose sight of Him? This course is designed for the dance minister to seek after purity within their dance (expression of worship). To recognize the very presence of God while expressing our praise to Him through dance is the challenge. How does the dance minister develop his gift (technique) and not lose sight of God during the process? What is our response when the storms of life occur? Do we lay aside our dance? What happens to the believer that has turned away from God? What will it take to be fully restored "In His Presence?"

"Dance in His presence unrestrained."
